Center for Language Course and Test (CLCT) at the Directorate of Language Development, University of Darussalam Gontor, plays a vital role in enhancing the language competencies of students, faculty, and the wider community. UNIDA Gontor’s aspiration to become a World Standard Graduate University must be supported by the development of foreign language proficiency as a tool for communication, knowledge, and civilization.
The Directorate of Language Development was established in 1963, From 1963 to 2014, the Language Center’s flagship program was the Comprehensive Language Test. In 2016, the DLD launched a platform called the Language Test System for Non-Native Speakers under the brand name “Alikhtibar.” Alikhtibar is a Language Standardization System that includes tests for listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.

Language courses at UNIDA Gontor combined with pesantren education., are combined with pesantren (Islamic boarding institution) education, comprising leadership training, & character building.

During the program, participants will stay in accommodations within the UNIDA Gontor campus, which provides a highly conducive environment for educational activities. The peaceful, supportive, and serene pesantren atmosphere is a key advantage of joining the language courses at UNIDA Gontor. Participants will also interact directly with tutors and trainers, all of whom reside on campus. Various soft skills development programs are conducted alongside the language courses, integrated into the dynamic life of the pesantren campus.
